Ravenswood Historical Site in Livermore is a restored Victorian country estate with an interesting history. The land was bought by Christopher Augustine Buckley, Sr., who became known as the “Blind Boss” of San Francisco politics in the 1870s and 1880s. In 1885 he began to spend his summers at this extravagant property where it has been said that people found him surprisingly good-humored for such a high-profile individual.
Ravenswood is a historic California landmark added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. It is recognized as an official State Historical Point of Interest and City Livermore Historic Preservation Landmark Site.

The Executive Course at Las Positas Golf Course is one of the oldest courses in Livermore.
